Maybe we lack the ability to see through walls or lift heavy objects, but bloggers (and you) can make a difference. I’m happy to be a part of Blog Action Day, an initiative being sponsored by Leo Babauta of ZenHabits and Collis and Cyan Ta’eed of FreelanceSwitch and FlashDen.
What’s the point of Blog Action Day? To help the environment. On October 15, 2007, blogs from around the world will all write about ways we can help tackle environmental problems.
Awareness has been a good start, but I’m hoping that this initiative will go one step further — actually creating practical solutions for everyone. With many practical blogs such as Lifehacker, Lifehack, Dumb Little Man and Zen Habits participating, I expect that we can see a lot more ideas.
Here’s what Leo says for those of you who want to find out more:
…check out the site, and if you have a blog, please sign up to participate … all you have to do is write a post about the environment on Oct. 15. You could, of course, also help promote the initiative by letting as many people know about it as possible, and by running one of the cool banners that Collis created.
