Implementation Guide: The Audio Book Method
This is another tactic you can use when studying for exams. It’s

The Biggest Source of Procrastination Is…
…not getting started. It’s such a big part, it’s practically the
definition of procrastination. If you’ve started, you’re not
procrastinating.
The problem is most of us have ineffective habits for getting
started. We go on Facebook. We look at our emails. We sit in a room
full of our friends to chat with.
My solution is to develop a ritual for combating procrastination
that I use whenever I want to work. The best time to use this ritual
is right when you wake up–that way you’ll be able to start working
immediately, instead of squandering your morning hours.
Developing a procrastination-killing ritual is as simple as figuring
out what you do when you actually get work done. Where do you work?
How do you sit? What do you tell yourself in your head?
Write all that down until you can figure out several key things that
go into your routine when you finally beat procrastination.
Then all you need to do is practice this routine with a particular
trigger. The trigger can be anything you want, such as snapping your
fingers, standing up quickly or changing your posture.
Practice going through both your trigger, and your short
procrastination-busting ritual a dozen or so times by yourself.
After that, the next time you feel yourself procrastinating, go
through your ritual and start working immediately.
If you get in the habit of doing this, you can use your trigger to
snap yourself out of procrastinating.
